Influencing Change.png

Influence is an extremely powerful force. It is so powerful that we give the title influencer to people who have a huge following on social media and they can make or break trends and businesses. It is a tool that can be harnessed and used for good and that includes any organization.

When wanting to create change, there are some crucial moments that can make change successful. First, the heart must be targeted, followed by leaders changing behavior by developing the desired result, identifying vital behaviors, and use the six sources of influence. By taking all of these steps, the chances of success increase dramatically.

I have taken these ideas and applied them to my Innovation Proposal to increase the chances of success in my organization. I have identified my influencers in my organization and plan to involve them early to help get my innovation plan off of the ground. The most vital influencers will be fellow teachers. Their experiences and feedback will be the most convincing point of view to gain more participation from fellow teachers. I plan to implement the six sources of influence to change achieve my desired results.

One of the most important steps of leading change is identifying your "why." Read about my "why" in this blog post.
